This project was an exploration about analog communications. There seem to be a lot of people in the digital world who still find importance the idea of analog transmission. The idea is to send someone a mixtape in the mail. Mixtapes are different from CDs because of the time and thought put into it's production. This project was intended for someone who would really like to do something special for another person. The kit comes with blank cassette tape, paper and pen for writing a note, stamps, cardboard mailer and instructions. This piece was featured in a graduate design show at the 1010 Gallery in Knoxville TN 2007. There was a vending machine with different pieces inside and for a small fee people could purchase the ones they wanted. This piece sold out!
